During his annual State of the Union address, US President Barack Obama announced that the United States would launch global trade negotiations with the European Union in order to establish a free trade zone.
The proposal was greeted with enthusiasm in Brussels, Berlin and London, although Paris showed a little less eagerness, according to Le Monde.
