On the cat "Greece. 3rd bailout"

A month before the German parliamentary elections, Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble's statement on 20 August that "Greece will need another programme" of financial aid has disrupted the campaign of current chancellor Angela Merkel.

"We can not know," she said the following day, adding: "I cannot give or confirm any sum. I do not know it, you can't know it." She added that the scale of any further bailout would only be known in mid 2014 and that, "Greece should continue on its path and we will support it as best we can."
