"Women to take charge in politics," announces a delighted Mladá Fronta DNES. Forty-four of the 200 seats and three quarters of top jobs in the new Czech parliament will be occupied by women, who are expected to raise the level of decorum in parliamentary debates. The Prague daily expects that "their presence will curtail the shouting, insults and obscene gestures, which have marked proceedings over the last few years." The increase in the number of women in parliament will also coincide with introduction of fines for vulgar behaviour.
