“Czech sporting assets worth several billion will shortly be put up for sale,” announces Lidové noviny. The Prague daily explains that the government, which has decided to reduce the sports budget by 2.2 billion Czech crowns (€86 million), is planning an audit of the nation's sporting establishments and the sell-off of facilities that sporting federations do not have funds to maintain. The country’s dense network of sporting facilities, which are in most cases in need of renovation, could be worth up to 250 billion crowns (€10 billion) on the property market, notes Lidové noviny.
