More than half of Romania's state-owned freight rail transport network is scheduled to be privatised by the end of June.

The freight transport branch of the government's national rail company has debts of €450m and is losing €50m per year. Interested buyers, according to the daily, include Romania's GFR and Austria's ÖBB.
