‘Europe loses patience as Italy is bogged down’

In the aftermath of general elections marked by populism and which failed to designate an outright winner, Italy has been caught in political deadlock.
“Pier Luigi Bersani’s party will certainly have difficulty forming a coalition,” notes the newspaper.
This will be enough to spook the markets and European governments, which worry that “instability will spread” to the rest of the still-vulnerable eurozone.
