Polish Labour and Social Policy Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has proposed to raise to 30 the age limit for people entitled to EU funds aimed at reducing youth unemployment, writes Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
The original European Commission proposal put the limit at 25. However, notes the daily,
it is yet another strategy on a long list of plans meant to fight youth unemployment. So far, they have all proven ineffective, as nearly a quarter of EU citizens in 15-24 age group do not have jobs.

Dziennik Gazeta Prawna stresses that youth unemployment in Greece has recently hit a record 55 per cent, hovers around 53 per cent in Spain, and stands at 28 per cent in Poland.
