In an attempt to bolster the security of its Eastern flank in Europe, Nato plans to develop its rapid response forces, the pact’s chief Anders Foghs Rasmussen said in an interview given to six major European newspapers, headlines Gazeta Wyborcza. The plan will require that Nato pre-positions basic equipment and supplies in host nations. “The bottom line is you will in the future see a more visible Nato presence in the east," added Rasmussen.
