"Jackson ruled the world - one last time," headlines Mladá Fronta DNES, the morning after the grandiose farewell ceremony held for the pop star July 7 in Los Angeles. But "was it a Pharoah who died?" the Czech daily muses. Michael Jackson was exceptional, it argues, but questions the hysteria that followed in the wake of his sudden death. "Michael dispersed around him emotional bombs more powerful than can be imagined," writes Vladimír Vlasák, DNES music critic. "Everyone has already forgotten that pedophile charges were made against him and now his star shines even more brightly." His greatest show was his burial, the critic concludes, and "his new career will perhaps be even more profitable than his life journey here below."
