Pope hails Britain

On 16 September, Pope Benedict XVI arrived in the UK for a three day visit amidst a hail of controversy over a Cardinal's remark that Britain is a third world country, not forgetting a loose coalition of interest groups calling for the authorities to arrest the Pontiff for having covered up numerous incidents of sexual abuse by the Catholic clergy.
