“Europa in beklaagdenbank”

“De Europese regeringen hebben misschien maatregelen genomen om de eenheidsheidmunt te redden toen die op de rand van de afgrond stond, maar de prijs die daarvoor moet worden betaald is enorm: de ontevredenheid van de burgers over de Europese Unie groeit”, constateert de krant.

Uit een recent onderzoek van de Eurobarometer is gebleken dat het vertrouwen in de EU in veel landen, en niet alleen in de Zuid-Europese die hard door de crisis zijn geraakt, hard achteruit gaat. “Maar er is een belangrijke “maar’”, schrijft Ta Nea: *“Als de vraag wordt gesteld of ze willen dat hun land uit de Europese Unie stapt en de euro opgeeft, dan luidt het antwoord nee.”•
